Over the years, the marketing professionals at Nabisco, the manufacturers of Oreo cookies, have issued some far-out tips on how to enjoy their beloved treats. Historically you could twist, lick, or dunk them, but there is now a robot to take care of it all. Oh 2013.
Meet David Neevel, a self-proclaimed physicist, and the star of a new satirical video quickly going viral online. Neevel explains how he spent the past “0.04” years building an Oreo Separator Machine – a mechanical device designed to remove the crème from both sides of the infamous chocolate cookie.
Neevel perfectly channels the intensity, and hilarity of his herculean effort: “It was a big commitment to build the machine. I had to work some long hours. I didn’t get to see my girlfriend or my dog for hours at a time.”
This four-minute video is part of Nabisco’s Cookies vs. Crème campaign, a promotion designed to help celebrate the Oreo cookie, which turned 100 this past year.
Enjoy.
