Lonnie Walker
Kings, Raleigh
Doors 9 pm, Show 9:30 pm, $6
The Triangle’s preeminent, spastic folk-rock act returns to the stage Saturday night after a brief hiatus. Front man Brian Corum leads his band through rousing roots tunes with an undeniably punk demeanor, resulting in spirited live set. Old Quarter and Spooky Woods also perform.
Sunday, Mar. 31
Teepee
The Cave, Chapel Hill
10 pm
Teepee’s experimental rock favors distorted guitar flourishes and dark riffs. While the songs can drag at times, Teepee is able to salvage his doleful songscapes with a frenetic energy and a truly unpredictable stage presence that is sure to keep the audience on its toes. Flesh Wounds and Earthbound Misfits will open.
