Name: Jocelyn Burney
Year: Sophomore
Major: Archeology and Religious Studies
Hometown: Morristown, N.J.

Jocelyn is wearing: Jeans from Urban Outfitters, a shirt from Target, a jacket from H&M, a scarf from Israel and shoes from a department store.

Jocelyn describes her style as practical, eclectic and colorful. She said she gets her style inspiration from the people around her and online destinations like Tumblr and fashion blogs. Jocelyn loves the current trend that she terms “L.L. Bean chic,” a style that is both earthy and classic. She dislikes the campus trends of leggings as pants and short tube dresses. Jocelyn loves to shop at H&M, Forever 21, Urban Outfitters and a variety of online stores, but she also loves stealing clothes from her mom or brother instead of buying new ones.

Jocelyn’s outfit is surprisingly daring. She manages to mix completely different color palettes and patterns, but still looks very classic. Her pink shirt and scarf are the two opposing pieces of this outfit, but her neutral jacket, shoes and jeans manage to keep them in harmony. Jocelyn’s outfit shows how to keep an outfit interesting without looking too outrageous.

Jocelyn’s style advice: “Comfort is important.”
