Julia Cluceru

Name: Julia Cluceru Year: Junior Major: Chemistry and Math Hometown: Stamford, Ct. I saw Julia in the bookstore and her outfit was too perfect to pass up taking a picture of. The silhouette is very similar to what many people tend to wear around campus but instead of big sweatshirts and workout leggings, she is wearing an oversized sweater she said she got at a department store and textured leggings from Forever21. The chunky gold necklace, from Madewell, and taupe boots from Aldo pull the outfit together to make it look nicer than just leggings and a sweater but still comfortable. My favorite part of interviewing Julia though was that she said her socks were her friend’s brother’s socks because it made me realize how effortless the outfit was.

Campus Trend Spotter: Ankle Booties

It’s starting to get a little too chilly to wear your rainbows, jack rogers or strappy sandals around campus. The leaves are starting to crunch beneath our feet, football season is gearing up and students are starting to change their fashion to accomodate the chillier weather. One of the best and easiest ways to maket his transition is to purchase a pair of ankle booties. Not as warm as full fledged Uggs or snow boots, ankle booties still look cute with summery clothes, but make an outfit more fall-appropriate, not to mention they will keep your feet warmer! Check out sophomore Lauren Schofield wearing a pair of Frye ankle boots.
