Believe it or not, I used to be one of those millennials who hated millennials. I played into it like a naive kid who hates naps or everyone in 2008 who thought it was cool to hate Taylor Swift for singing about boys.
But now I know that millennials are high-key the best generation in existence. We care about the environment and social equality. We prefer experiences to material possessions. We love wine. And we're literally causing breakfast food sales to plummet because we don't feel like doing dishes after we eat.
That is me as hell.

IN UNC'S PAST
Ten years ago today, a UNC graduate intentionally drove a car into the Pit and injured nine people. Mohammed Taheri-azar, who was 22 at the time, said he wanted to avenge deaths caused by the U.S. in the Middle East. Today, Taheri-azar says he regrets everything. He's projected to be released in 2032.
IN FORMATION
Raleigh police will not be boycotting the May 3 BeyoncĂ© concert. A Raleigh police union unanimously decided that it would protect everyone regardless of ideology — unlike other states' officers, who recently made headlines as the first people to not want to attend a BeyoncĂ© concert.
IN THE PIT
Two UNC Greek organizations are lifting weights to combat sexual assault. The event is called "Curls for the Girls," and all proceeds will go to the Rape, Abuse and Incest National Network. Organizers said they chose the name only because it rhymed, not because they're ignoring male or LGBT victims.
IN OUR OPINION
We can't stop fighting for gender-nonspecific housing. There's been virtually no progress on the issue since the Board of Governors shot it down in 2013. And with the appointment of Margaret Spellings, UNC-system problematic fave/president-elect, now isn't the time to give up on LGBT students' needs.
