Once again, it’s Billy Schuler.
Just six minutes in to overtime the Tar Heels’ leading scorer netted the game winner. Urso lost the ball outside the box to Indiana’s Chris Estridge, but Estridge misplayed the clearance and there was Billy Shuler.
Schuler took a couple touches and slid one left side past the diving goal keeper.
The game was scoreless the whole way despite a combined thirty shots in regulation. Indiana came out strong and kept the top seeded Tar Heels on the ropes for much of the first half.
As the first half came to an end and throughout the second half, the Tar Heel midfield looked stronger and stronger.
The Tar Heels will host the national quarterfinal Saturday and will play the winner of the Brown- St. Mary’s game which will be played tonight at five.
