North Carolina senior and former basketball player Tyler Zeller reemerged on Twitter Tuesday afternoon.
His new handle — @ZellerTyler.
His first tweets coincided with his visit to ESPN, where he appeared on a SportsCenter that aired on ESPNNEWS.
Within an hour of making his first tweet, one that included a picture with Scott Van Pelt (@NotthefakeSVP), Zeller already had more than 4,000 followers.
Zeller was ACC Player of the Year this year with averages of 18.5 points and 9.7 rebounds in conference play. Current mock NBA drafts from DraftExpress.com have Zeller as a top ten pick in June’s draft.
Zeller’s follower count benefited from a couple of mentions from UNC teammate Kendall Marshall.
