Yesterday the NCAA announced the teams playing in the Chapel Hill Regional and what times games will be played this weekend.
East Carolina will start the regional Friday at 1 p.m. when they play St. John’s, the Tar Heels don’t play until 6 p.m. But Chapel Hill transit has set in place plans that will take effect much earlier in the day.
Ridge Road, the road Boshamer Stadium sits on, will be closed to through traffic from approximately 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Buses will be allowed to continue their normal routes however, CHT expects delays along Stadium Drive and Ridge Road as a result of increased pedestrian traffic.
The affected routes include the A, CCX,DX,NU,RU, PX and U. Efforts will be made to maintain published schedules but customers are advised to expect delays and allow extra travel time.
