- In response to a quote from Assistant University Editor Liz Crampton’s UNC Pop-Tart story, this Duke beat writer gives her take on whether or not Duke fans are truly above eating Pop-Tarts.
- The NCAA is still determining the eligibility of N.C. State basketball player Rodney Purvis. The freshman has been cleared to attend class, though.
- Former N.C. State quarterback Russell Wilson will start for the Seattle Seahawks in their next preseason game.
- Freshman Perry Hills has been named the starting quarterback for Maryland after C.J. Brown suffered a season-ending ACL injury.
- On the other end of the spectrum, Virginia’s starting quarterback spot is still up for grabs between Michael Rocco, David Watford and Alabama transfer Phillip Sims.
