Football
When: 12:30 p.m. Saturday vs. Elon
Where: Kenan Stadium.

Men’s soccer
When: 7 p.m. Friday vs. West Virginia; 7 p.m. Sunday vs. Boston University.
Where: Both games will be played at Fetzer Field.
Storylines: The men’s soccer team is looking to build on a 4-0 win last weekend.

Women’s soccer
When: 5 p.m. Friday vs Connecticut; 1:30 p.m. Sunday vs. Notre Dame.
Where: Both games will be played at Notre Dame as part of the Notre Dame Adidas Invitational.
Storylines: Two games into the season, the team is without a win or a goal.
Volleyball
When: 8 p.m. Friday vs. Santa Clara; 4 p.m. Saturday vs. Utah; 10 p.m. Saturday vs. UC Davis.
Where: All three games will be played in Davis, Calif., as part of the UC Davis Aggie Invitational.
Storylines: The Tar Heels picked up two wins in their tournament last weekend.
Field hockey
When: 1 p.m. Saturday vs. Syracuse; 12 p.m. Sunday vs. Cornell
Where: The games will be played at Syracuse and Cornell respectively.
Storylines: The Tar Heels got off to a strong start with two wins last weekend.
Cross country
When: 5 p.m. Friday for the Covered Bridge Open.
Where: The open will take place in Boone.
Storylines: The team is opening its season with great chemistry.
