North Carolina took eight shots, with three of them on frame. The Hokies took ten shots with four on frame.
The Hokies netted their first goal in the 37th minute on a shot from Ashely Meier.
UNC goalie Adelaide Gay had three saves in the half.
Entering into the game, the teams allowed a combined six goals all season, but so far, they’ve allowed four goals in the first half of this contest.
