Tami Hansbrough was placed on administrative leave from her position in the Office of Student Affairs.

Welcome to another edition of Tracking the Tar Heels.

Here’s what the Tar Heels have been up to:

  • University Editor Nicole Comparato writes that Tami Hansbrough’s travel records raise questions about her position in the Office of Student Affairs. The (Raleigh) News & Observer reports that Hansbrough’s position was the direct result of fundraising efforts by Matt Kupec.
  • The Tar Heels will have a new conference foe, as the ACC has accepted Notre Dame as a conference member, Sports Editor Brandon Moree writes.
  • Injured running back Giovani Bernard was at practice Tuesday, sporting a brace on his left knee, The Durham Herald-Sun reports.
  • After a 16-game winning streak dating back to last season, the UNC men’s soccer team lost to James Madison on Tuesday night, Jonathan LaMantia writes.
  • The UNC women’s golf team tied for ninth in its season-opening Cougar Classic tournament in South Carolina, Aaron Dodson writes.
