Behind Enemy Lines, Nov. 7

Welcome to another edition of Behind Enemy Lines, where we check in on UNC’s conference foes.

Let’s take a look:

  • The Georgia Tech football team is on high alert for UNC tailback Giovani Bernard as the two teams prepare to face off Saturday. Here’s a radio interview with Yellow Jackets head coach Paul Johnson.
  • The Miami Hurricanes are considering self-imposing a postseason ban for this season, which could open up the Coastal Division for the Duke football team.
  • Speaking of Duke, senior guard Seth Curry has been battling a leg injury, and it could continue to hamper him throughout the season.
  • Kevin Cowherd of the Baltimore Sun writes that College Park has become a place where ACLs go to die. The Maryland Terrapins have dealt with a bevy of injuries this season, including season-ending injuries to four of its quarterbacks.
  • According to a Wall Street Journal poll, North Carolinians favor Duke football over N.C. State football. UNC came out on top in the rankings.
  • The past couple of weeks have been rough for the Wolfpack, which is looking to rebound against Wake Forest this week.
