- UNC basketball forward James Michael McAdoo was named to the Naismith Trophy Early Season Watch List, ESPN’s Robbi Pickeral writes.
- The UNC football team is ready to move on from its loss to Georgia Tech, the (Raleigh) News & Observer’s Andrew Carter writes.
- The Tar Heels will have to play without kicker Casey Barth, who is out for the season, Carter writes.
- The field hockey team will have to face a familiar foe as it begins play in the Final Four, Assistant Sports Editor Brooke Pryor writes. The Tar Heels will face Syracuse, who they lost to early in the regular season.
- This isn’t a varsity sport, but our own Max Miceli will compete in the Quidditch World Cup in April.
