UNC leads FAU 32-24 at the half

Despite a miserable performance at the free throw line, the North Carolina men’s basketball team leads Florida Atlantic by eight points at halftime.

UNC made just four of 14 attempts at the line in the first half.

Reggie Bullock had a strong start for UNC scoring seven of the first nine points for the Tar Heels. He finished the half tied with James Michael McAdoo for leading scorer honors. Both players have ten points.

Marcus Paige recorded his first assist as a Tar Heel, three of them in fact, after not having one in the opener Friday night.

FAU’s Greg Gantt leads all scorers with 13 points as he has drained three shots from deep.

Bullock knocked in a couple of threes for UNC but the Tar Heels still only shot 28 percent from beyond the arc and are shooting 34.2 percent from the floor.
