Just as Roy Williams was about to leave the press table in his Wednesday afternoon press conference, he sat back down to announce that Leslie McDonald had tweaked his knee in practice on Tuesday.
Williams said that the redshirt junior, who missed much of last season with an ACL injury in his right knee, did not practice Wednesday and his availability for Thursday’s game was unknown.
McDonald has played in all 14 games this season and started in one. He’s averaging 8.4 points, which is tied for fifth most on the team, in 17.9 minutes per game.
