Led by nine points from junior Reggie Bullock, the North Carolina basketball team leads Georgia Tech 40-32 at halftime.
The Yellow Jackets narrowed the margin to six with minutes left in the half after UNC led by as much as 13.
A few notes from the half:
- UNC shot 42.1 percent (16-38) and was 4 for 11 behind the arc. Georgia Tech shot 33.3 percent (13-39) and was 2 of 7 behind the arc.
- Bullock is just 1 of 5 from behind the arc but leads UNC with nine points. P.J. Hairston is behind him with eight off the bench. James Michael McAdoo has seven. Sixth man Kammeon Holsey leads Georgia Tech with 10 points off the bench.
- Georgia Tech has dominated at the boards with 29 rebounds, compared to 21 rebounds for UNC. However, the Yellow Jackets have turned the ball over 10 times. UNC has five turnovers.
- The Tar Heels have done a solid job sharing the ball with 12 assists in the half. Freshman Marcus Paige leads the team with five dimes.
