At the mid way point in the first 2013 installment of the Duke-UNC the Tar Heels are leading the Blue Devils 33-29.
P.J. Hairston started for the Tar Heels in the place of Desmond Hubert and is UNC’s second leading score with seven points. Two of those coming in the form of an emphatic put-back slam.
Reggie Bullock is the leading Tar Heel scorer with nine, both Dexter Strickland and James Michael McAdoo have 6 points.
Duke’s Quinn Cook leads all scorers with 10.
The Tar Heels have spaced the floor and moved the ball well with the smaller lineup and as a result have found some room to knock down shots on the perimeter. UNC was three-for-seven from deep in the first half while Duke made just one from deep.
UNC has 12 points off turnovers compared to Duke’s six. The Tar Heels also have twice as many 2nd chance points as the Blue Devils
