Bits and pieces of the North Carolina men’s basketball schedule have trickled out during the last few months, but now the entire schedule is set.
The team will first face UNC-Pembroke in an exhibition on Nov. 1. The season officially opens a week later on Nov. 8 against Oakland, and UNC will begin the ACC season on Jan. 5 at Wake Forest.
UNC has the opportunity to face reigning national champion Louisville should both teams advance in either the championship or consolation bracket in the Naismith Hall-of-Fame Tipoff in November.
The Tar Heels will face 2012 national champion Kentucky in Chapel Hill on Dec. 14. North Carolina is resuming its series with Kentucky after not facing the Wildcats for the first time in 12 years last season.
The team will travel to new ACC members Notre Dame and Syracuse, and host Pittsburgh and Notre Dame.
