WINSTON-SALEM — The Wake Forest men’s basketball team leads North Carolina 34-32 at halftime of both team’s ACC opener.
The Demon Deacons lead the Tar Heels despite UNC’s 36-14 rebound advantage and 17-1 rebound advantage on the offensive glass.
Led by Tyler Cavanaugh’s nine points, Wake Forest is shooting 48 percent for the half — taking 15 fewer shots than UNC. The Tar Heels are shooting 33 percent from the field and are 1-for-7 from behind the arc.
Both forward James Michael McAdoo and forward J.P Tokoto are in foul trouble for UNC early, with three fouls each.
