The North Carolina men’s lacrosse team pulled to an easy 8-1 lead in the first half of its game against Dartmouth. Junior attackman Jimmy Bitter shook off any offensive jitters he felt in last week’s Manhattan game and scored two goals off of assists from attackman Joey Sankey. Sankey later scooped up a ground ball and scored an unassisted goal of his own in the fifth minute of the second quarter. Youth also played a role in the first half, with sophomores and freshmen accounting for four of UNC’s goals. With 6:25 left in the half, redshirt senior Greg McBride picked up a ground ball and assisted in freshman defenseman Austin Pifani’s first career goal. Pifani was one of two defenseman to score goals in the first two quarters.
