Six Tar Heels named Inside Lacrosse preseason All-America

The North Carolina men’s lacrosse team will play the 2014 season without one of the most prolific offensive threats to don Carolina blue after Marcus Holman’s May graduation. But that doesn’t mean the team will have lowered expectations coming into the spring.


California ends UNC volleyball's season

For the North Carolina volleyball team, the previous two seasons resulted in the Tar Heels defeating the California Golden Bears in the opening round of the NCAA tournament.


UNC men's basketball leads UNC-Greensboro 44-14 at the half

Despite getting off to a rough start shooting in the opening minutes of the game, the North Carolina men’s basketball team headed into the locker room with a 44-14 lead against UNC-Greensboro, ending the first half on a 20-1 run. After connecting on just three of its first 10 shots, UNC settled in and dominated the Spartans on offense.


UNC and No. 1 Michigan State tied at half

The North Carolina men’s basketball team is tied with No. 1 Michigan State 32-32 at the half. The Tar Heels led by as much as 14 in the first half, but a 26-12 run by the Spartans to end the half closed the gap.

UNCASVILLE, Conn. — Following a 10-point win against Richmond, the North Carolina men’s basketball team will take on defending national champion No. 3 Louisville in the title game of the Hall of Fame Tip-off Tournament at 1 p.m.


UNC women's soccer leads Indiana 1-0 at half

North Carolina heads into halftime with a 1-0 lead against Indiana in the second round of the NCAA tournament at Fetzer Field. The return of senior leading scorer Crystal Dunn was the headline of the first half.
