It's times like these (midterms) that we really wish we could go back to days of juice boxes, nap times and these games. It will never not be funny how just as we grow up, we want to grow back down.
In an effort to reminisce, we've ranked the best online games that you used to play as a kid, along with the best aspects of each. Break out the Capri-Sun, kick back, and let yourself be a kid.
3. Club Penguin
Things could get weird depending on how sociable you were with fellow penguins, but this game was hype. No denying it. The emphasis on skiing and snowboarding was particularly fun, especially when you got to wear cool hats as you went down the slopes.
- Puffles: the ideal pet. Except when you forgot to feed them and they died.
- Super Spy Missions: the only way to be cool.
THIS GUY. Sitting at his desk all calm, cool and collected while I was freaking out over secret missions.
The shades. The bow tie. Super Spy Gear on fleek.
- Tunnel missions.
2. Neopets
Neopia was the most diverse game. There were fairies, things that resembled animals, and things that didn't resemble animals but were still cute.
- Petpets...because what's cuter than getting your pet a pet?
- Battledome. How cool did you feel fighting inside an ice castle?
- Overall, we have to appreciate how thorough this game was. Between changing weather, the stock market, and a real scale depending on how long you left your Neopet without food, you could not get away with anything.
1. Webkinz
Curse that period of time where these went for around $30, but bless the invention of Lil' Kinz that were moderately cheaper though still overpriced.
- Webkinz had the best games, no questions asked.
- Webkinz houses were better than actual houses.
The possibilities were endless.
- Arte the Archaeologist instilled in us a sense of curiosity with his Curio Shop. He was, truly, the sweetest.
- Chef challenges. Notice this isn't just categorized as another game. Chef Gazpacho did not mess around.
Whether you were more of a Club Penguin, Neopets or Webkinz kid, we can all agree, with slight shame, that these games ruled our life.
