I was under the impression that Prince was immortal. I now wish that I had been correct in this assumption, for he was taken from us far too soon.
For the longest time, I was genuinely convinced that Prince was magic, and I still do. I mean, the man changed his name to a symbol and seemed to float when he walked.
He was always larger than life, both onstage and off. He had this aura that drew people in and made you want to stop and listen. Also his voice was pretty magical, further proof that he was not of this world.
