At first-year orientation a couple months ago, I was almost drowned in the plethora of ways to get involved around campus. The only thing that remained in my exhausted, foggy brain at the end of the two-day deluge was the presentation from Campus Rec about intramural sports, especially their explanation of the legendary champion shirts.
These shirts are the Holy Grail of IM leagues, and to win one is to earn eternal glory (or at least for the semester). While winning glory, you can also form strong friendships with your teammates, experiment with new sports and relieve stress even as a grad student!
