Admittedly, horoscopes dominated my life last year and are not something I plan on giving up this year, either.
They provide excellent life advice and are often creepily accurate, which makes them both inspirational and entertaining. Some may be skeptical of what their sign readings tell them, but I think they're extremely useful, and as a proud Virgo I completely refuse to be wrong about it.
Now, I seek to bring the wisdom of the universe here to our wonderful university! Join me as we look to the stars (or rather, to the classrooms) for all that your major has to look forward to in the coming semester.
Arts
After taking some time over winter break to relax and reflect back on your fall projects, you will return to school refreshed and with new creative energy. Spring is the season of growth and change, so if you’ve been looking to mix up your usual artistic methods, now is the time to do so. You will find that making a change may be difficult for the first few months of the semester because you are so used to your old ways, but you will find your art flourishing by April. Don’t be afraid to try new new things this semester — allow yourself to be taken out of your comfort zone and you will find success!
Biological and Health Sciences
The key this semester is to not give up hope, dear student. While January will pass without much difficulty, by mid-semester you may find that you are beginning to struggle. Seek the help of a professor or TA to help you work your way through difficult portions of your classes; although you may be intimidated, you will find that they are your best sources of advice. During this semester, you may need to give up some social time, but your friends will be supportive and understanding. If you can make it through your mid-semester crunch, you are certain to yield excellent results come May.
Business
You will find yourself presented with an abundance of new opportunities this semester, Business major — but only if you actively seek them! By resisting stagnation and looking for internships that will advance your career path, you will learn a lot about your future and yourself during the spring. Sometime during the next few months, you may fail at an important task, but do not allow yourself to dwell upon it. Take the failure as a learning opportunity and you will find that you grow even stronger.
Education
This semester will be all about learning patience and perseverance for you, Education major. You may face some difficult classes or frustrating professors, but you will find success so long as you don’t lose your temper. While you may feel irritated at times, you will find that you can actually learn a lot from whatever people or things are bothering you if you can manage to look for the best in them. During the spring semester, you are bound to mature as a person as well as to become more impressive both educationally and professionally.
Humanities
This semester is a great time for you to branch out and try new things! If there’s been a club or activity you’ve wanted to join or a new hobby you’ve been interested in pursuing, this spring is the time to do it. While you will spend the first half of the semester getting settled into whatever new ventures you are taking on this semester, but by the end of the school year you will be performing like a seasoned veteran. One class you are taking in particular will challenge everything you know. If you hold on to everything you learn and allow your skills to be pushed to their limits this spring, you may find that it will be one of the most beneficial semesters of your career.
Languages
This semester will be an excellent one for making new and interesting friends within your classes. Don’t be afraid to reach out to your classmates; speaking with others in the language you are studying will only help you improve and will inspire you to work harder at mastering the art. If you are looking for travel opportunities this summer or during the coming school year, it’s the prime time to start your research. A life abroad is looking good for you, so if you’ve been thinking about making the journey to another country, now is the time to make the leap. If you are interested in going abroad but are worried about all that it entails, worry not — you are both mentally and linguistically more prepared for the journey than you think.
Media and Journalism
You may find yourself a little overwhelmed by work this semester as new opportunities pop up left and right. Particularly at the beginning of the semester, you may find yourself overworked and scrambling to fulfill all your obligations. Remembering to take some time to set work aside, detach yourself from your computer screen and enjoy the things you like to do is vital this semester. Do this, and you will find that your work is better than ever been before. Mathematics, Computing and Engineering

While things will go well school-wise, though, make sure to balance work with play by making more time for friends and fun this semester — you deserve it after all you’ve accomplished! Physical Sciences
This semester will be one of long nights and hard work for you, lovely student. Luckily, you will be surrounded by people who will be there for you. If you stay determined and don’t lose focus, you will end the semester satisfied with your accomplishments.
Social Sciences
This spring will be a busy season for you when it comes to school. While the content of the work will not be too difficult for you to understand, the workload may get overwhelming, so plan accordingly and do not allow yourself to procrastinate. This semester will be an excellent one socially and you will find yourself making more friends in your classes than usual. While you may begin speaking to them casually as classmates, the people you will meet this semester will slowly grow into some of your most treasured friends.
Undecided
