After decades of excluding worthy college towns in the state of North Carolina, The Research Triangle will broaden its vertices to encompass Cary (home of the long-neglected educational wonderland, Wake Technical Community College’s Western Campus) to form “The Trapezoid.”
How scholars could overlook a city like Cary is unbeknownst to inhabitants of North Carolina, as the city has been state leaders in the areas of Suburban Development, High-end Shopping and Stay at Home Moms Who Power Walk for years.

Experts feel that the choice of Cary for The Trapezoid will give the region more of an “upper-middle class white” atmosphere that could result in a variety of economic benefits such as the construction of even more Vineyard Vines outlets and Whole Foods stores.
