A member of the N.C. General Assembly was filmed making a joke about President Barack Obama being born in Kenya.
American Bridge to the 21st Century released footage of Rep. Larry Pittman, R-Cabarrus, speaking at a town hall meeting in Concord.
At the meeting, Pittman mentioned he saw a photo of Obama with the words “traitor” on Facebook.
“I just don’t think it’s right at all to call Barack Obama a traitor,” said Pittman.
“I have not come across any evidence yet that he’s done one thing to harm Kenya,”
American Bridge 21st is a political action committee that bills itself as “a progressive research and communications organization committed to holding Republicans accountable for their words and actions.”
