I woke up last Wednesday, immediately checked the front page of CNN and let out a long-held sigh of relief.
The graduate students of UNC need your help.
I had yet to write a personal column about my experiences with racism at the University and at The Daily Tar Heel because I didn’t want people to have my face and my name in their heads if they wanted to send harassment.
Perry Carter (Sparkling Water) and Derek Fulton (Sparkling Eyes) are the writers of UNC’s premier (only!) satirical advice column. Results may vary.
We need to bind individual liberty and fulfillment to shared American culture, language and identity.
The outrages have been piling up rapidly at UNC-Chapel Hill this fall, but the latest affront to the values of our community is so far beyond the pale that jobs should be lost for it.
The chilling answer, especially for our community, is that the worst we can do does happen. Often. Weinstein and others may now be purged.
We, student leaders of UNC Hillel, strongly oppose the appearance of Sebastian Gorka on our campus on Nov. 13.
I am surprised by your editorial Was No One Else Free? on Nov. 10.

As a student paper, we fully support giving students as many journalistic opportunities possible. But we fundamentally believe a focus on awards in student journalism is harmful and misrepresents what a good journalism education is.
Chancellor Folt has asked us to clarify the role of campus police officers at the Confederate Monument on our campus in light of misinformation that has been in circulation. There’s nothing more important to our University and our police force than the safety and wellbeing of every member of our campus community.
NEAR FRATERNITY COURT — As I looked up into Seventh Woods’ armpits soaring high above the sagging rim — and me — at the DKE basketball court, I knew I was toast.
As most of us know, Thursday, Nov. 2, someone set fire to Davie Poplar, the 300-year-old tulip poplar tree that has stood for the entirety of UNC’s existence.
