As tens of thousands of people came together in several states across the country on Jan. 15 at dozens of different rallies to oppose the repeal of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, and with the presidential inauguration just hours away, all eyes are on congressional Republicans’ first major move since the 115th Congress was sworn in.

Letter: ​An effective strategy to create world peace

There is a very feasible strategy we can take as humanity so everyone can enjoy world peace. The first step is to prioritize saving all the poorest people on earth first who are in need of clean water, food, basic health care, education, safety, etc.

Is my hearing correct? At the UNC basketball game, I heard the Tar Heel basketball team being introduced to the background of a song called “Down for My N’s” (to be clear, the title is edited to avoid using a racially sensitive word).

Last year was rough for some conservatives. They watched helplessly as the election cycle became dominated by two blond screaming toddlers: Donald Trump and Tomi Lahren. We would like to start off by saying Tomi Lahren is not a journalist, although she is often mistaken for one.

With confirmation hearings now underway for cabinet appointees of President-elect Trump, today I joined the NAACP in delivering a letter to Senator Thom Tillis’ Raleigh office expressing concern over the nomination of Senator Jeff Sessions (R-AL) to the position of Attorney General.
