Entrepreneurship is a buzzword that increasingly is used by anyone wishing to connote innovation, newness and success. According to Merriam-Webster, an entrepreneur is “a person who starts a business and is willing to risk loss in order to make money.”

A UNC student’s recent allegations that she was sexually assaulted and the University didn’t respond appropriately have reminded many in the area why this is a particularly salient issue in North Carolina.

Once again, I write to remind pedestrians to cross the roads carefully to avoid the emergency room or morgue. Especially at night, I would like to see: fluorescent clothing, a white handkerchief, a flashlight or reflective tape.

Opinion: Engage in the debate on the business school fee

Earlier this month, our board published an editorial detailing our reservations and objections to the $3,000 annual fee that the business school has proposed to the Student Fees and Activities Committee. They will defend this proposal before the committee this coming Tuesday, at which time the committee will make a recommendation and pass the matter along for review to the other committees in the process.
