While most people attending UNC are full-time degree-seeking undergraduates who started college right after high school, some aren't seeking degrees or may be studying part-time.
Kumi, who was recently listed on the 2025 Forbes 30 Under 30 list, is the founder of Miss EmpowHer, a company her sister described as girlboss meets therapy.
The conference encourages public speaking skills, teamwork, compromise and negotiation, UNC sophomore Carter Kohl said.
