FallFest will return in person this year on Sunday, Aug. 14 after being canceled last year due to inclement weather and the previous year due to COVID-19.
Valerie Howard will take over as the UNC School of Nursing's new dean on Aug. 1, where she will prepare to educate North Carolina's future nurses in the face of the ongoing nursing shortage.
The Ackland will also be hosting several public programs related to the exhibition, including a curator’s tour, mural walk and Juneteenth event.
