On Saturday, Chapel Hill Community Center hosted their annual Haunted Hill event. In addition to a trunk contest that local businesses participated in, attendees were able to enjoy a pumpkin decorating contest and watch "The Addams Family".

On Sunday, the Chapboro Book Crawl was held at four bookstores across Chapel Hill and Carrboro: Flyleaf Books, Golden Fig Books, Epilogue Books Chocolate Brews and Peel Gallery. The book crawl highlighted independent book stores and brought attention to a wide range of authors.
