A protest march consisting of UNC students and local community members and farmworkers occurred Thursday afternoon. They were protesting the Wendy's in the Student Union because of the corporation's refusal to sign the Fair Food Program, a series of agreements designed to protect those in the farming industries.
"As college-age students, we don't really take it that seriously until it actually happens to somebody or something tragic happens from drinking. It's going to happen regardless of what they do."
In the midst of the #MeToo movement, UNC system schools convened to talk about a standard for resolving issues related to sexual harassment. But with so many schools involved in the discussion, coming to a general consensus proved an issue that will take further delegation.
