Local middle school raises money for pink jerseys and breast cancer awareness

This October, McDougle Middle School’s football team decided to change up its uniforms to spread breast cancer awareness — the team wore pink jerseys specifically dedicated to the cause.

The Great Hall in the Student Union was filled with chairs, teal ribbon decorations and a row of tissue boxes for Our Story, an interactive event for sexual assault survivors to share their stories, that took place Wednesday.
