Community members will gather tonight for a ground breaking banquet to celebrate the future of St. Paul African Methodist Episcopal Church Village in Chapel Hill. The church will relocate from 101 South Merritt Mill Road to 20.4 acres between Rogers Road and Purefoy Drive.

County officials voted Tuesday to move forward with an on-campus ambulance substation in an effort to improve response times. Local residents and community organizers spent Saturday night dancing for their very own branch of the Boys and Girls Club. The Boys and Girls Club of Eastern Piedmont, which aims to expand throughout Orange and Western Chatham counties, held a fundraising event called Dancing with the Stars of Carolina at the Carolina Inn.
