After a $12.5 million dollar investment, UNC will launch a new program to provide traumatic brain injury treatment for veterans.
Chase Dining Hall employee Sam Wagner was recently surprised with with an honor from the chef — a set of knives, specially engraved with his name. Wagner was honored for the great effort he puts into his work at Carolina Dining Services.
At Monday's meeting, the Commission on History, Race and a Way Forward mapped its ideas, and members voted on which projects they felt were most important. Members also identified projects and items that had been missing and should be prioritized moving forward.
Roy and Wanda Williams donated $3 million to UNC's Carolina Covenant, the Chancellor’s Science Scholars program and Carolina Athletics for a men's basketball scholarship.
Some students and staff have said that this growth, even through a year of the COVID-19 pandemic, is due to the spirit of UNC students, the implementation of certain new policies and a strong work ethic by University staff.
The commission’s partnership with Turn of Events will lay the groundwork for commission priorities in the next two years.
