Raynor denies wrongdoing

Student Body President J.J. Raynor denied allegations Wednesday that she unfairly biased the vote on the Child Care Services Fee referendum. She and Board of Elections Chairman Ryan Morgan filed a motion in response to a complaint made Monday by Student Congress Speaker Tim Nichols.

Savory scents and musical notes wafted through the brisk air during Thursday afternoon's Sustainability Celebration at Rams Head Center. The celebration was part of Sustainability Days a three-day event promoting social economic and environmental sustainability at UNC. Sustainable practices focus on preserving resources through conservative consumption. The event concludes today.

Environmentally responsible coffee will tickle taste buds and acoustic music will serenade students during this week's Campus Sustainability Days. Starting today the Sustainability Office will promote social economic and environmental sustainability at UNC through information sessions and tours of sustainable campus facilities.

The fruits of labor

The average length of a mother's first birth is 14 hours. Noelle the School of Nursing's new birthing mother patient simulator can deliver a child every eight minutes. The nursing school purchased the simulator last spring — one of only seven of the latest versions of the model in North Carolina.
