Two student-led groups, Affirmative Action Coalition at UNC and TransparUNCy, held a forum Wednesday for students to express their demands for the ongoing chancellor search.
Laurie Wilder, the firm’s president and co-owner, said the next step for the committee will be to finalize a leadership profile, which includes marketing the University to the public, determining the important chancellor characteristics to stakeholders and advertising the position.
Many undergraduate students expressed doubt about the committee's prioritization of student input in the search for a new chancellor.
The original bill proposed by Pollack eliminated stipends for summer members of the Honor System – which includes members of the Honor Court and attorney general staff who are responsible for reviewing alleged Honor Code violations and determining sanctions – and created stipends for previously unpaid positions.

“He wasn’t ever looking for the limelight,” UNC class of 1967 graduate Melvin Watt said. “He was there always as an advisor, as a supporter, as a cheerleader, as a friend and that’s the way I would characterize him.”
UNC System president Peter Hans presented a proposal for two new learning outcomes during a UNC Board of Governors meeting on Jan. 25. The two learning outcomes focus on documents and concepts related to America’s founding and the implementation of the nation’s ideals.
