Reality Ministries is a Christian organization in Durham with the stated mission of providing a safe and loving environment for community members who have been disenfranchised due to poverty, violence or lack of opportunity — for example orphans, foster children and people in jail. The ministry extends to people with special needs.
The 2010 Dance Marathon, held on February 19th and 20th, is a year-long fundraising effort for the UNC Children's Hospital. More than 1,600 students pledged to stand in Fetzer Gymnasium for 24 hours.
