“I know how much time, effort, compassion and care goes into this type of research, and to see it just disappear and to see your work disintegrate, I can't imagine how heartbreaking that must be,” Cameron Ulmer, a doctoral candidate at the UNC School of Nursing, said.
Alvarez said he thinks his number one qualification for the role of SBP is his perspective as a new voice in student government.
The University Surplus store sells a variety of objects no longer needed by University departments.
UNC's Carolina Covenant celebrated its 20th anniversary, displaying the program's impact on a variety of students.
“I'm going to love my fellow humans, and I don't need institutional funds to do it,” SPark, a former DEI fellow, said. “I think that is a view that's reflected in the beautiful organizing work that the student body has continued to do. I'm very proud of the students, just as much as and even more than I am disappointed in the actions of the university administration.”
Tazche Turner and Ashley Addison will serve as the president and vice president of the SNPhA, aiming to improve minority representation in the pharmacy sector.
The UNC School of Data Science and Society hosted Josh Starmer, former assistant professor in the UNC Department of Genetics, for a presentation on Aug. 28. Starmer is partnering with the school to hold a video contest for UNC students.
The Law Society at Carolina, founded by three undergraduate students, hopes to provide students interested in law with opportunities to learn about law through mentorship, lectureship and law school admissions aid at UNC.
The UNC LGBTQ Center is partnering with campus organizations to host events and activities throughout the week to celebrate the LGBTQ community and allies.
