Students happy with council
By Nicole Duncan and Mac Mollison | May 25Students who love to frequent Franklin Street for game and holiday celebrations can relax after Monday's decision by the Chapel Hill Town Council not to clamp down further on the festivities. But discussion of proposals to reconsider events such as Halloween, Festifall and post-game downtown rallies is unlikely to be forgotten soon, according to Student Body President James Allred. "I don't think the issue's going to die away," he said. "I think it still will be important to people, particularly Halloween, which we've seen grow larger and crazier each year."
