The event brought together many government and nonprofit agencies including El Centro Hispano, Orange County Public Library, Bike Carrboro, NEXT, Red Ridge NC Bike Share, Orange Literacy and Carrboro Transportation Choices.
Beginning on Oct. 31, three roads surrounding the site of the 203 Project on South Greensboro Street in Carrboro will become one-way streets as the construction continues. Traffic will travel in one direction on Roberson Street, Maple Avenue and East Carr Street.

Orange County piloted its Longtime Homeowner Assistance program last year, which helps established community members pay their property taxes. This year's program, which began at the beginning of this month, will accept applications until Dec. 1.
The redevelopment project on East Rosemary Street is scheduled to be completed by next summer. Through the project, the Town of Chapel Hill and real estate company Grubb Properties seek to incentivize business growth and research development in the downtown area.
The Drive-in at Carraway Village, a drive-in movie theater located off of Eubanks Road, will close on July 27 – although it may not be a permanent closure. The drive-in is set to close because Carraway Village, the apartment complex near the theatre, is expanding into the lot where it is located. With the construction putting more than half of the parking spaces behind a wire fence, Randi Emerman, a founder of the Drive-in at Carraway Village, said it was time to take a pause.
