Students Tag Along With County Officials
By Susan Hall | April 25Orange High School students, dressed in their finest, skipped class Tuesday to take the helm as local officials for the day.The Orange County Board of Commissioners was one of many groups that shared their positions as local authorities with area high school students Tuesday afternoon.Members of the school's student body government attended the 12th annual "Official for a Day" program to gain an understanding of their local government.Students spent the morning shadowing a county official and the afternoon in a mock Board of Commissioners meeting.During the meeting, the s
