Students Must Unite to Fight Hate
By Tyra Moore & Doug Taylor | April 2Last week, controversy erupted at 13 college campuses -- including Duke and Brown universities -- as newspapers at each school ran a full-page advertisement paid for and penned by David Horowitz, a well-known conservative political commentator.The advertisement has generated pain, anger and outrage among students of color on campuses nationwide. Despite the national outcry surrounding this ad, The Daily Tar Heel has chosen to inundate our campus with its inaccurate and hateful message.The arguments put forward are flawed and contradictory.
